Objetives & Expected Outcomes

Eagle’s Nest will help students:
  • Gain a better understanding of the math and literacy skills required to perform well on the MCAS exams and improve their overall performance in the classroom.
  • Improve self-esteem, self-discipline and self-image resulting from better performance in school.
  • Foster moral and character development, contributing to behavioral improvement in scholastic, family and social settings.

We will measure these outcomes in the following ways:

1.       Eagle’s Nest will perform pre and post testing to obtain quantifiable results based on assessment and evaluations. In addition, we will maintain a portfolio on each student that contains samples of each student’s work so that we may measure progress over time. Our focus is to understand each boy individually in order to assess each one’s strengths and weaknesses, whether they be academic, social, spiritual, familial, physical, and create an assessment plan for each boy with an action plan and progress record to ensure that they improve as they move through the program.

2.   Eagle’s Nest staff will interview students, parents and teachers in order to gauge each student’s self-esteem, self-image, overall behavior and level of confidence. Finally, we will review report cards and progress reports to evaluate academic and behavior performance through the school year.
